The road to graduate school...

Decided to go...

Apply...

Get accepted!!!!

Find a place to live!!!!!!! What a trip finding housing has been! Four days, with two friends equals fun! Looked at a couple dozen places over a day and a half. I ended up leasing the first place we visited. :)

A three story townhouse about a mile and a half from school.

Went to DC for an evening. Saw the White House, Reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Vietnam War Memorial before heading to Dupont Circle for dinner at Kramer's Books and Cafe.

A 15 hour travel time with delays and missed connections got Sarah and I home after midnight. It wasn't a wasted day, I did hang with my girlfriends!

Back home in Spokane, it was filling out applications, signing lease agreements, spending money on deposits and rent, acquiring and loosing roommates.

As of this entry, I have three roommates. One from Greece, one from Chicago, and one from China. Oh, and the Chinese woman's husband will be moving with her! So there will be 5 in the house. But plenty of room!

Almost done packing, have to gather a few school supplies, load the car, start a blog...

And I'm off!

Okay, not really. But I will be soon!

I leave on the 2nd of July for Ocean Shores, WA with my kiddos! We'll dip our feet in the Pacific Ocean, hug an ancient tree or two, watch the fireworks and breath deeply.

We will head east on our coast to coast trip on the 5th. We will stay in Spokane for a couple of nights, visit with family and friends. Next on the stop is Billings, MT. The next day we will hit Devil's Tower, Mt. Rushmore, and Wall Drugs. Our next big stop is Chicago and a deep dish pizza!
